Synopsis
The Shire of Croydon is located in North West Queensland near but not on the Gulf of Carpentaria. The Shire of Croydon is known as the heart of Gulf Savanah country and is a beautiful location for watching the sunset over the Gulf of Carpentaria.

What Happens Next?
You will need to register and create a login and password to access the training modules. When you have registered, you will receive an email asking you to validate your email address. Click the validation link in the email, and you will be then be asked to log into the training modules.
The login and password enabling you to access the training modules will be created by you on the registration screen:
- Username – please use your email address
- Password – this requires 8 characters, and at least one of the following: number, symbol, letter upper case, letter lower case.
There are 3 online training modules:- Orientation
- Resilience
- Leadership
The learning management system is where you access online module materials. If you are participating in face-to-face training please log in and complete the online training modules before you attend.
A Virtual Orientation link is available on the FAQ page to support you in navigating the LMS (Learning Management System). Once you have completed the training modules, you will be able to access your Certificate of Participation through the LMS which you can print out.
Now you can register!
You are registering to create a new user account. Navigate to the right hand side of the page of the page and click on the Register link. This will take you to a page that will ask you to record your personal details. Once this is completed, click Submit. You will see a message prompting you to verify your email address. Log in to the email account you provided as your username. Within the verification email click the link “Validate your email address here”. You can now log in using your registered email and password combination and begin the online training modules.

Orientation is divided into two primary topics that will provide volunteers with information on their role in volunteering and foundation in site safety and induction processes.

The resilience module will provide volunteers of an introduction into resilience concepts and a range of practical tips on how it can be established and supported.
